I only gave it a "like" because I have not had the chance to test it with a large print. I assembled it, sprayed some Aqua Net hair spray on the glass plate, and it produced a fine, high detail test print -- the little dog.

If you need to do a large print, this is your machine. Not a beginners printer but it isn't difficult. If you are familiar with the rest of the Cr series, it's an easy transition. Plenty of upgrades are available and, most importantly it's reliable. For the money its hard to beat, sure you can run small stuff but it's so satisfying seeing it print something huge! Worth the investment.

I love the printer I do recommend buying a BL Touch with it.

The glass bed has a massive dip in the middle. I had to buy some mirror from a local shop and it fixed it. The bed is heated by a 300 x 300 heat pad. This does not completely heat the bed evenly. I actually think I would have been better off buying a smaller printer.

Getting it dialed in was a pain but after words I can't complain. Great machine. It did take awhile to get from the day of order but I got great support through emails and the company assured me my order was important they worked hard to get me my printer asap and thats service you can't buy.

This is my second CR10 S5... the 1st one worked great for several months then something burnt in the controller/power source, still looking to get it fixed. This new unit seems to be working just fine.

I received my S5 this week and it took roughly 2 days for me to finally get it working to an agreeable area to make my prints. I purchased this as with many for building my own astromech droid as the size of this machine is ideal for large scale prints versus smaller printers thus having to slice smaller parts creating more time and effort. As stated it took around 2 days to get it together, the instructions are not amazing but will give you a some what understanding of assembling the product. I had trouble understanding the wiring hookups and had to look online for a tutorial that made sense, which again, sort of difficult! The bed out of everything has been the most difficult thing to adjust as it's been constant. I would highly recommend when the time comes for Creality to update this product to standardize a BLT sensor. So far I've printed two items for testing which were satisfactory and now proceeding on my way to print the Dome to my R6 astromech. With any luck this printer will last longer than my previous unit which is now in a friends possession used as spare parts.

This is my third printer,a prusa a CR-10 and this CR 10S5. Prints great straight out of the box. I was amazed at how fast it shipped. I received it about a week after I ordered it.

The printer might be great. I have no idea. I bought the machine to make a doll version of my grandson and every time I open the pictures in the software recommended in the set up instructions (Cura) everything comes together like a cube! So if some one could explain how to make things ROUND in the cura software, this machine may be the greatest thing ever made, until I figure it out all I can say is that the instructions are seriously lacking and need major clarification both on the part of crealtity and cura.

if there is 1 con i have to say than it is that the filament sometimes comes loose from the heated bed,now i set the heated bed of and now the filament sticks to the bed.Maybe it's just me that has no experience with heated beds or maybe are heated beds not so good for PLA filament.But after all TOP PRINTER!!

The packaging was excellent. I hadn't done any modification or enhancement and the print quality is nice. The printer is very reliable - 31 hour print duration, no problem. I'm hapy to print large things.

Arrived before expected date which was a nice surprise. Packing was seriously robust - hard to imagine hoe it could be damaged (and it wasn't). Assembly was much easier than I had expected and I had it running hte same evening.

This is a very good printer with OK instructions. Works out of the box well but you should watch some youtube about printing and this printer if you are a newbie.

This is an amazing machine! You can print up to 50 microns layer height, and a varety of filament types. It's really easy and the printing quality is exceptional.

Ordered it as a backup for my CR-10 S4. Took about 20-30 minutes to put together and discovered I had a warped glass plate. Not docking a star for that since I knew going into the purchase I'd likely receive a warped glass plate. Took a bit longer than normal to level the bed and tram the print head due to the warped plate but within 60 minutes of opening the box I started a 14hr print which finished beautifully...on the warped glass plate, no less. Tips: The positioning of the spool holder is atrocious and will cause the control box to tip over into the printer the first time the printer encounters a kink in the filament. Re-locate the spool to the top crossbar and print the feed guide from thingiverse and you wont run into that issue any longer. Print a replacement for the control knob on the control box. Print larger bed leveling thumbscrews (available on thingiverse) to make leveling the bed FAR easier. Mark 100mm of filament from the filament out sensor to the spool, then use the control box to preheat the extruder and extrude 100mm of filament. If the 100mm mark on the filament does not reach the hole on the filament out sensor, you are under-extruding and you will need to adjust your slicer settings.

Awesome 3D printer. Having the huge print volume is a game changer compared to my Printbot Play. One thing to note and maybe its the same with all printers but with this one you have to re-level the machine before every print. Just the act of putting pressure on the glass to remove prior prints is enough to get it out of level.n Otherwise great printer!

Aboustly the easiest and best printer I've ever used. I've got 600 hours on it and it's going strong, I suggest adding nema 17 stepper steel and rubber dampners on it to make it quiet also to upgrade the fans in the control box to noctua fans other than that the wiring and quality is fantastic. Also the heated bed comes with a mosfet running it already in the contorl assembly.

It works well, already having a mini I knew what to expect. Does not disappoint. Had a few minor issues but that was fixed as I dialed in the machine. Would buy again

Works great right of the box, setting it up wasn't difficult by any stretch, but it was harder than I anticipated. Youtube is your friend.

Took over 30 min to assemble, but I'm ok with that. was simple to put together after figuring out how the pieces were supposed to set. The instructions where not very clear. Will update review at a later date after I have a chance to print out something.

Would be a great printer, had it not been shipped with a heated build plate that had bad soldering that shorted it out. Needless to say the build no longer works.

Takes a while to get the hang of but once you know what you're doing this printer delivers excellent quality prints.

I've build a 3D printer or two in my time. Instructions were barely adequate, but not hard to figure out. Wish they would ditch the strange second box and just design the electronics attached to the frame. Other than that the dang thing has been printing flawlessly (not Prusa i3 MK3/2s good, but definitely good!) since an hour after I had it out the box and I've not even had to relevel the bed. P.S. This thing is a really big printer by the way. Surprised me a bit.
