I run a STEM classroom and every year my students design and build 3D printed model rockets. Total we do about 1,000 hours of total combined print time in a short span. We have 7 Ender 3s, 3 Prusas and 1 Flashforge. They are all good machines. The Ender 3s for the money though are what get us through the project every year. THE GOOD:
Great printer, set up is straight forward lots of help videos on web,
software is easy use, customer service seemed good.
The less than good:
The directions are not as clear as they should be. (Needed you tube videos).
Extruded clamp is plastic and broke in under an hour. ( upgraded with metal clamp from Amazon).
Creality was responsive and willingly replaced the clamp but took over a week to get a replacement plastic clamp.

First 3d printer. For the price it's great! However, the middle of the bed is sagging and it effects the print. You can level it by adding some paper in the middle but it will show on the first layer since the bed wont be 100% perfect.

My experience has been great! As a first time 3D printer owner I made some good prints and a couple failed ones. The digital sundial printed the layers a bit too thin and with too many supports. Overall it is a great printer with great quality. Some stringing, but I cut them off which is pretty easy and one method to achieve clean results. I made a blue octopus first and it came out great! I made it as a gift. What I printed were gifts for my family for Chanukah. My family is enjoying the projects on my new 3D printer. Thank you!

I'm new to 3D printing. I chose this one (Ender 3 Pro) because of positive reviews and because I heard it has an active community.
While it required some work to get set up, it wasn't too hard to do. I've built many custom computers and I can say that if you feel comfortable building a computer, you will be comfortable putting this together. If that's why the cost is relatively inexpensive compared to other printers with this one's capabilities, then it's well worth it. Also, if something ever goes wrong, you'll have that familiarity to help you address the issue.
As for printing, I've done about 3 or 4 small prints that took about 5 hours each. Aside from one (which I messed up because I didn't have the bed leveled perfectly enough) they all turned out pretty great.
I'm still relatively new to this, but I don't have any regrets and I feel I made a good choice with the Ender 3 Pro.

My first 3D printer was a MP Select Mini V2, and I was really happy with it. Then I wanted something with a larger build surface so I bought the Ender 3 Pro. I really like the magnetic bed; it makes it very easy to remove those "stuck on" prints. It's also much easier to level using the large leveling wheels. The only thing I was a little disappointed by was the display, which is very low-res and pixellated compared to the MPSM.

Coming out of the box, everything was in great shape. The assembly would have been a little iffy, but I had watched a number of You Tube videos on the assembly and set-up procedure rather than rely on the instructions that came with the Ender 3D Pro. There was still some experimenting that finally enabled me to start printing and getting things done.
One of the problems that I encountered early on was the fact that leveling the heated bed was difficult. I discovered after purchasing a micrometer to use in the leveling process, that the bed was not flat, it was warped and the middle area was a couple of thousands lower than the outer edges of the plate. Now, I was able to compensate and do some printing. The whole process of programing and slicing was never adequately explained in any of the videos or information that I had downloaded, had to figure it out on my own. But on a happier note, I find that I really enjoy working with my new 3D printer and am finding more & more things to create and make. There are many parts that don't come with the unit, that are improvements toward performance and safety and offer needed and useful experience when printing them out, (this is probably a cost saving from Creality in disguise). The entire unit is very well constructed and I have a good feeling that it is going to hold up well despite my abuse and mishandling. The servos are quiet and very accurate and precise in their movement if the program slicing is done properly. I have found through trial & error that the speed, temperature of the head and the bed are very important, even the filament feed speed needs to be watched. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and the research that I did to end up a Creality Ender 3D Pro. This was a look to the future of manufacturing and the all the possibilities that exist, not just as toys, but just like the growth of the computer, 3D printing is going to be and is now a tool to learn.

Love this printer. The blue things attached to the top of the printer and the black box at the bottom left corner in front of it were printed with this printer. Blue things are to help filament spooling and to hold the scraper, and the black box was made to hold a Raspberry Pi. Couldn't be happier.

Before buying I was reading a lot of reviews, good and bad. I was hesitant to buy because of the issues mentioned and this is my first 3D printer ever. I made the choice and I followed a couple of good YouTube videos on how to assemble the machine making sure everything is squared and aligned to perfection. I can see why people have issues, if you don’t spend the time making sure you are putting it right from the beginning you are going to have problems during the length of the use. For most part you can fix all the possible mechanical issues unless they are electric related. This is a very reliable machine, spend the time upfront t make sure you are putting it together right and you won’t have problems. My first print was a complete success.

This is my second printer and it probably should have been my first. The setup was just enough to let me get comfortable with the equipment while still remaining me this is a fledgling technology and a working knowledge of the parts and pieces is essential. I have had excellent results so far.
About my only complaint is that I think the default position of the z-axis stop is too high. The bed needed to be almost completely extended which led to the level nuts coming loose repeatedly. I found the issue was very common on line and moving the stop an eighth inch further down fixed the problems
The other thing that would be nice is an automated bed leveling program, basically a small circle that prints at each corner and a line that prints around the edges. That would have been nice when starting especially if the printer is not next to the computer
But I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone who asks.

Setup was only 30 minutes, and calibration only took about 5 minutes to get quality prints. Very very quiet compared to other 3D printers I've used. Quality build, can't find any corners cut in my opinion.
And I didn't think I would be a fan of the magnetic build sheet, but the magnetic build sheet totally grew on me! Simple to use!

Absolutely love it! For the price this machine is a game changer. This is my first 3D printer and it is extremely user friendly. I have been working with 3D printers for a few years now and I decided to get one of my own for my house and I’m glad I picked the Ender 3. Assembly was made quicker with the help of YouTube, the instructions that come with the machine are pretty vague but it’s not a difficult machine to assemble. Just take your time to ensure you put it together correctly. I’m excited to start more prints when I get my spools of PLA in the mail. I’ve only had the Ender 3 for about a week now but so far I will absolutely recommend it to everyone. Extremely precise printing for the price. I plan on testing out some 3D printed parts for my cars, and when I start that process I will be doing recordings for my YouTube Channel. It took some time to learn as I have never used a 3D printer until now. My son and I put it together and watched a few YouTube videos to learn what to do. I also had to learn leveling and ended up purchasing a glass bed which I highly recommend. We have made a few items and had a few minor disasters but overall I am so pleased.

For the price it really is hard to beat. It is a pretty big learning curve and of course you always end up spending money to upgrade. Making your 3d printing the best it can be. I love almost everything about this printer. Parts are very well made. The manual on the other hand was very disappointing. The internet is your friend when it comes to the proper assemble and alignment. But I will say the most disappointing thing I have seen is the build plate. The aluminum is fairly think but man is it out of level. When you have the adjustment correct for the corners you can place several pieces of paper between the nozzle and the plate. I would have thought the level would have been better on the Ender 3 Pro versed the standard Ender 3 . I now see why everyone places some sort of plate on the top of the bed.

This is really an amazing printer for the price. Watch several youtube videos on assembly tips BEFORE starting any assembly. Extra steps not shown in Creality's assembly instructions make things go much easier and give you better results. Once that's done it has been producing great parts. The printer's interface is pretty easy to use without even reading the instructions. Don't forget to look at other videos on how to use Cura or your slicer of choice because those instructions aren't well written either. The hardware is very nice. I'm thinking to buy another just so I can keep one up and running while doing a bunch of upgrades to the other.

The first layer is sometimes challenging to get working properly, as the manual leveling process isn't necessarily the easiest thing in the world, but with enough patience and testing you'll get a fairly high quality base that, unless the printer's being moved around the house a lot, shouldn't need to be re-leveled for a long time. The extruder's a little annoying to load, as the filament will want to go in at an angle and completely miss the tiny feeding hole (meaning you'll have to bend the end of the filament a little), but once it's in, it's fed flawlessly every time I've used it.
These are my only qualms, though, and they're really only minor inconveniences more than anything else. It's been an excellent experience having this as a first printer, would definitely recommend to anyone on the fence about getting into 3D printing as a starter.

I found the adjustment wheels in the springs for the days are subpar you should include the upgrade right from the get go.
I noticed that the power supply rubs up against the molding pad they should be screwed on the outer edge of the rail instead of the inner. I also noticed that there seems to be a flat spot in my bed I haven’t run more than one item at a time so I don’t know if it’s going to affect my print jobs.

My Ender 3 Pro prints just as good, if not even better than my $1200 printer I’ve had for 3 years. They really nailed it with the 3 Pro. I run a STEM classroom and every year my students design and build 3D printed model rockets. Total we do about 1,000 hours of total combined print time in a short span. We have 7 Ender 3s, 3 Prusas and 1 Flashforge. They are all good machines. The Ender 3s for the money though are what get us through the project every year. I have had them a few years now and they basically never get turned off. I have not had any failures.

The directions are not as clear as they should be. (Needed you tube videos).
Extruded clamp is plastic and broke in under an hour. ( upgraded with metal clamp from Amazon).
Creality was responsive and willingly replaced the clamp but took over a week to get a replacement plastic clamp.

Been having a blast learning, really enjoy designing my own creations on freecad, or blender and then printing them. The included picture is a print from thingiverse but I have made my own also and it is so rewarding to see something I spent time designing cone to be and work for my needs.

First 3d printer. For the price it's great! However, the middle of the bed is sagging and it effects the print. You can level it by adding some paper in the middle but it will show on the first layer since the bed wont be 100% perfect.

My experience has been great! As a first time 3D printer owner I made some good prints and a couple failed ones. The digital sundial printed the layers a bit too thin and with too many supports. Overall it is a great printer with great quality. Some stringing, but I cut them off which is pretty easy and one method to achieve clean results. I made a blue octopus first and it came out great! I made it as a gift. What I printed were gifts for my family for Chanukah. My family is enjoying the projects on my new 3D printer. Thank you!

I'm new to 3D printing. I chose this one (Ender 3 Pro) because of positive reviews and because I heard it has an active community.
While it required some work to get set up, it wasn't too hard to do. I've built many custom computers and I can say that if you feel comfortable building a computer, you will be comfortable putting this together. If that's why the cost is relatively inexpensive compared to other printers with this one's capabilities, then it's well worth it. Also, if something ever goes wrong, you'll have that familiarity to help you address the issue.
As for printing, I've done about 3 or 4 small prints that took about 5 hours each. Aside from one (which I messed up because I didn't have the bed leveled perfectly enough) they all turned out pretty great.
I'm still relatively new to this, but I don't have any regrets and I feel I made a good choice with the Ender 3 Pro.

My first 3D printer was a MP Select Mini V2, and I was really happy with it. Then I wanted something with a larger build surface so I bought the Ender 3 Pro. I really like the magnetic bed; it makes it very easy to remove those "stuck on" prints. It's also much easier to level using the large leveling wheels. The only thing I was a little disappointed by was the display, which is very low-res and pixellated compared to the MPSM.

Coming out of the box, everything was in great shape. The assembly would have been a little iffy, but I had watched a number of You Tube videos on the assembly and set-up procedure rather than rely on the instructions that came with the Ender 3D Pro. There was still some experimenting that finally enabled me to start printing and getting things done.
One of the problems that I encountered early on was the fact that leveling the heated bed was difficult. I discovered after purchasing a micrometer to use in the leveling process, that the bed was not flat, it was warped and the middle area was a couple of thousands lower than the outer edges of the plate. Now, I was able to compensate and do some printing. The whole process of programing and slicing was never adequately explained in any of the videos or information that I had downloaded, had to figure it out on my own. But on a happier note, I find that I really enjoy working with my new 3D printer and am finding more & more things to create and make. There are many parts that don't come with the unit, that are improvements toward performance and safety and offer needed and useful experience when printing them out, (this is probably a cost saving from Creality in disguise). The entire unit is very well constructed and I have a good feeling that it is going to hold up well despite my abuse and mishandling. The servos are quiet and very accurate and precise in their movement if the program slicing is done properly. I have found through trial & error that the speed, temperature of the head and the bed are very important, even the filament feed speed needs to be watched. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and the research that I did to end up a Creality Ender 3D Pro. This was a look to the future of manufacturing and the all the possibilities that exist, not just as toys, but just like the growth of the computer, 3D printing is going to be and is now a tool to learn.

Before buying I was reading a lot of reviews, good and bad. I was hesitant to buy because of the issues mentioned and this is my first 3D printer ever. I made the choice and I followed a couple of good YouTube videos on how to assemble the machine making sure everything is squared and aligned to perfection. I can see why people have issues, if you don’t spend the time making sure you are putting it right from the beginning you are going to have problems during the length of the use. For most part you can fix all the possible mechanical issues unless they are electric related. This is a very reliable machine, spend the time upfront t make sure you are putting it together right and you won’t have problems. My first print was a complete success.

This is my second printer and it probably should have been my first. The setup was just enough to let me get comfortable with the equipment while still remaining me this is a fledgling technology and a working knowledge of the parts and pieces is essential. I have had excellent results so far.
About my only complaint is that I think the default position of the z-axis stop is too high. The bed needed to be almost completely extended which led to the level nuts coming loose repeatedly. I found the issue was very common on line and moving the stop an eighth inch further down fixed the problems
The other thing that would be nice is an automated bed leveling program, basically a small circle that prints at each corner and a line that prints around the edges. That would have been nice when starting especially if the printer is not next to the computer
But I am very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone who asks.

Setup was only 30 minutes, and calibration only took about 5 minutes to get quality prints. Very very quiet compared to other 3D printers I've used. Quality build, can't find any corners cut in my opinion.

Absolutely love it! For the price this machine is a game changer. This is my first 3D printer and it is extremely user friendly. I have been working with 3D printers for a few years now and I decided to get one of my own for my house and I’m glad I picked the Ender 3. Assembly was made quicker with the help of YouTube, the instructions that come with the machine are pretty vague but it’s not a difficult machine to assemble. Just take your time to ensure you put it together correctly. I’m excited to start more prints when I get my spools of PLA in the mail. I’ve only had the Ender 3 for about a week now but so far I will absolutely recommend it to everyone. Extremely precise printing for the price. I plan on testing out some 3D printed parts for my cars, and when I start that process I will be doing recordings for my YouTube Channel. For the price it really is hard to beat. It is a pretty big learning curve and of course you always end up spending money to upgrade. Making your 3d printing the best it can be. I love almost everything about this printer. Parts are very well made. The manual on the other hand was very disappointing. The internet is your friend when it comes to the proper assemble and alignment. But I will say the most disappointing thing I have seen is the build plate. The aluminum is fairly think but man is it out of level. When you have the adjustment correct for the corners you can place several pieces of paper between the nozzle and the plate. I would have thought the level would have been better on the Ender 3 Pro versed the standard Ender 3 . I now see why everyone places some sort of plate on the top of the bed.

This is really an amazing printer for the price. Watch several youtube videos on assembly tips BEFORE starting any assembly. Extra steps not shown in Creality's assembly instructions make things go much easier and give you better results. Once that's done it has been producing great parts. The printer's interface is pretty easy to use without even reading the instructions. Don't forget to look at other videos on how to use Cura or your slicer of choice because those instructions aren't well written either. The hardware is very nice. I'm thinking to buy another just so I can keep one up and running while doing a bunch of upgrades to the other.

this is my first 3d printer the direction to put it together was little confusing thank to youtube i seen better detail to put the ender 3 pro together but overall it works great its not crap i very much enjoy it looking to buy another printer just to mess around with

I was looking for a new hobby, something creative and relatively speaking, cheap.
Thus far I've enjoyed it. Setup was both simple and complex in ways that I enjoy. So far, refining what I have and am able to do with the printer has been my focus, and quite enjoyable.

Bit of a bear getting it set up, and although there are some more adjustments to be made, that's the nature of beast. I got good results after the 1st 6 hours of use. Amazing that it's at the price it is, and there isn't anything that seems unsafe.
Upgrades are cheap/easy.
