The Ender 5 was my first printer and it turned out to be a workhorse right out of the box and it still is today! Assembly was easy! The build volume is nice for larger projects. My current project on this printer is a press to place threaded inserts into other projects I'm working on. I've printed all kinds of objects from lithophanes to a near 1500 mm long RC Submarine (still in progress and obviously in parts). After a year and a half I'm still running it stock with the exception of a CR Touch and glass bed plate. I think that any problems I had with this printer were of my own doing.

It was easy to build an set up an very easy to use, it is my first 3D printer an I love it, made learning to print 3D comfortable an easy, Ill be getting a multi color printer in the future, great company great product, I recommend it to anyone just starting or a pro that just needs another printer going it’s awesome

picked this up for my son's and I to play with and learn about 3D printing we are enjoying it greatly. There is a learning curve but youtube is your friend :)

The ender 5 was simple to set up and start printing. It has a lot of features and does a really good job. Perfect for beginners

Absolutely in love with the quality and versatility of this printer. Your imagination is the only limit with these amazing printers

I don't know what I'd do without it.

When I got the printer I knew I had to assemble it and I was happy. Afterwards I was unhappy about the assembly directions. Not the best considering that the instructions were in broken English and not really detailed. The wiring is a joke. Different from the actual directions. After a couple mistakes and reassembling the unit it was completed. The program that comes with it has minimal instructions on how to use it. Had to use a different program to print. The machine prints beautifully. Need to add a couple more programming setting on the unit to make it better. I would get another one

The assembly was simple and getting my first prints to come out looking good was little to no effort. Overall I am very happy with my ender 5 and I would highly recommend it.

Ny first venture into a quality printer, so far i am very impressed!
Think I need another 5... Or maybe a ender 3!

hi,
So far I love the product for what I have seen in the web, I think is an amazing machine. But my product haven't allow me to start working.
I have a problem leveling the printing bed that makes my print bad qualities, I have contact the costumer service. We have several conversation, inclusive they have reach the technician to help me. But they haven't solve my problem yet. What you recommend me to do?

Great product! Easy to get started

The kit is complete and nothing external is much needed. The t-nuts need some explaining, because I have never seen one before. They are really the only problem with the kit that I can think of as they tend to slip off. The results cannot be argued with. The product from the printer is amazing. This is my first 3d printer ever. I’ve been waiting years to get one and this was the best deal out there. Thanks Creality!

The Ender-5 is really nice, and put out a really nice figure on my very first try. However, it takes a REALLY long time to print... 7 hours and 52 minutes for this 120mm tall character with supports. I can do one 90mm tall without supports in 3.5 hours. I guess I’m impatient because it’s painfully slow to me. The machine works great, but l’m not so sure 3D printing is for me.

I am loving my Creality Ender 5! I am a tinkerer and this machine is perfect for that! I highly recommend the Ender 5!

Came to us fast after we ordered it. Was super easy to put together. It ran great the first few times. The plate protector got messed up after the forth time and we had to order a new one already. My son tried to run it and it started to mess that one up too. Other than that it is great!

Just got it up and running. My first three prints have been great. The Bency showed proper detail and is clean. I can't wait to work with my own designs now. I have to learn Fusion 360 first! I'm impressed with the Ender 5 build quality, and so far the electronics have worked properly. Thanks for the great experience so far!

Enjoyed learning how it works, it was easer than I thought, I never worked with a 3 D printer before. Now I want to start use the wood filament to make bowls, vases, etc.
The down fall is instruction not explaining how to do some things, had to look on YouTube to find out.

So far it works great! prints very accurately. I did run into a couple of problems, the sd card does not work at all, it was dead on arrival. so I am using usb atm, and the bed is a little warped making it difficult to level, I added a glass bed to it and that has been alot better.
Lindsey L.
I am very happy with my purchase of the Ender 5 the only thing I found was a slight dip in the build plate but it prints great otherwise

Newbie to 3D printing. As reviewed online, easy assembly, nice workmanship. Very pleased, using Cura slicer, hoping for more development on support function.

Initially, I had a rough start with this printer. I took my time and assembled it properly. Bed leveling took a little time, but I got it dialed in and started sending test prints for further tweaking. The printer began rebooting and freezing mid print. Since I am a 3d printing newb, I notified Creality about the issue. While I waiting on a reply, I determined that the included flash drive was failing. The gcode data would literally stop mid print because the card was failing reads. I replaced the card and all is well now. Creality was fast to respond as well.
It's been a few weeks and I am hooked now. My family is hooked. Co workers too. The quality I am getting from my prints is amazing and it is a lot of fun. 3D printing is no longer just a curiosity for me. This will probably be a life long hobby now thanks to my Ender 5. I highly recommend this printer.

To the simplicity of assembly it was quite easy. Took me all of 3 hours to put together. Was a fun little project to try and figure out how to import the printer into Cura. I have bought several rolls of filament for this printer because I find it to be amazing at the worksmanship that it can produce. I have been having fun for the past few months working on all different sizes and details of 3d prints. I would highly suggest buying this printer if you have the money and the time to experiment with different settings. I feel like a true maker with this little guy in my house.

We have been running this printer almost everyday since buying it. That's about 20 days. Many of the printed items took 4 hours to 14 hours due to the size. It had shown outstanding performance. We decided to go with this larger printer and we are glad we did. The density of the item can be adjusted from almost hollow to completely filled. It does take a while to put it together. I advise to do as we did. Use a table that is stable and very level. Level the table if necessary. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! Lightly tighten the screws for the frame until all the screws are in. Then snug them up a little Continuously check the level. Once the printer is fully built and it is level, THEN fully tighten all the screws and retighten all of the other screws. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone.

The printer was pretty easy to assemble. I am thrilled with its print quality out of the box.

This is a very solid, well-built printer, and I am very happy with my purchase! It took a little bit to figure out that for some reason the SD Card port on my unit is upside-down. Im not sure if this is normal but its not a big deal now that Ive figure out how to get it read the SD card. Unfortunately the card that came with the printer became corrupted after a few prints, but theyre cheap these days so it wasnt an issue to get another one. Other than that, I only had an issue when I replaced the brass nozzle with a stainless steel one I bought off Amazon. As soon as I tried printing with the new nozzle I couldnt get any filament to come out and discovered it was all leaking into the hot end and around the threads of the nozzle even though the Bowden tube was pushed in all the way. I cleaned out the hot end and replaced the nozzle back to the original and have been able to make amazing quality prints again! I highly recommend this product but am a little leery to put any aftermarket parts on it without making sure theyre compatible first. The seller was also very helpful in addressing all my concerns with the printer and getting it working in spite of these minor issues. I would gladly do business with this seller again!

Upon receiving the printer, the assembly was rather quick, since everything was mostly pre-assembled. I did have an issue with the lower Z axis frame attachment, the screw hole was stripped and I have to use another, longer one with a nut on the back side. But print quality out of the box is good. Using the provided micro sd card, my PC thinks it is a virus, so it deleted the files. Luckily after contacting Creality through FB I received a Dropbox location to download the files again.
The print quality using Cura, the provided software did not yield good results. I tried many different this and everything was a disaster. I decided to use an old RPi I had to set up OctoPi and connect to it. After completing this, the prints were instantly improved. I am not sure if the issue resided in the micro SD that I was using or if it was the numerous settings within Cura, but the RPi uses an older Cura engine to slice the model.
Either way it has been a learning experience. I have wasted several spools of filament trying to get thing going, but again I take it as a learning experience.
Bottom line: this printer can produce great quality models, but it will not do it right as you turn it on. Some tweaking is required, but that is what makes it YOUR printer. Would I buy it again? Yes I would.
